West Llwyn Holiday Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at West Llwyn. Pam and Nick were great hosts, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The area is very peaceful and a great base to come back to after exploring the west coast. There are lots of beautiful beaches just a short drive away and we were lucky enough to see dolphins in New Quay harbour and seals from the coastal path near Cwm Tydu. The cottage itself was really cosy and had everything that we might need. It was very clean and comfortable. The welcome treats left for us were a nice touch and Pam's home grown tomatoes were yummy. We would love to stay again and felt it was a home from home!

Lovely to visit Pam and Nick again. This time in the cottage on the left hand side and just as comfortable and cosy. Perfectly located for the coast and local pubs. Highly recommended!

Just returned from a late August 24 holiday in the cottage. Exceptionally well presented cottage, clean and with all the necessary for a stay. Neat bedrooms, fresh linen and towels, a kitchen with all the necessary to cook and a welcome pack of biscuits welsh cakes teas coffees and milk. There is a parking space and the cottage has internet.. The hosts are very attentive and made sure we were well settled and even took us on a tour of the smallholding with the dogs turkeys piglets sheep chickens and cows. This cottage is a blessing as it is remote but close. It has the quiet and beauty of the rural, along with dark skies, but is around 10 to 15 miles from the local beaches like the superb Newport Sands.
For those looking for peace and quiet this is a great cottage, for those looking for a family break there is everything a small family would need. Try SW Wales, try Llwyn Cottages.....you know you want to.

Martin Faulkner,

Well what can we say about East Llwyn? There is probably too many good things to be honest. It is a hidden gem, off the beaten track and a quiet location yet not too far from anywhere. we had a fabulous 3 night stay and the hosts could not do enough for us. It was the little things from the welcome pack, to taking notes of the kids names, to the ripe tomatoes that appeared on the windowsill. Nothing was too much trouble and a tour of the farm for the youngest was fabulous. thank you again. I'm sure we will be back in the future.

Hayley,

Myself, Husband and Granddaughter dogs Scout and Willow have just come back from a few days at East Llwyn Holiday Cottage Ceredigion West Wales with Pam, Nick and their three beautiful dogs. The cottage is lovely and cozy, comfortable and very clean and the surrounding areas are very peaceful. It has all the amenities you could wish for either for a short break or an extended stay. The local area is beautiful countryside and the coast not far away. We visited quite a few of the beaches during our stay and also visited Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre in Aberystwyth where you can see the beautiful Red Kites being fed (every day at 3pm) it is a marvellous experience for all. While at the cottage Pam and Nick showed us around the farm which was really lovely and while we were there one of their pigs gave birth to 6 piglets which was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Pam & Nick are wonderful hosts.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming holiday cottage in Wales! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly. Pam and Nick were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, including offering plenty of fantastic suggestions for local places to visit and eat, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The cottage itself is perfect for families with young children. It was beautifully equipped with everything we needed. The cleanliness was top-notch, with everything spotless and well-maintained, making it feel like a home away from home.

One of the highlights of our stay was when Pam generously took the time to show us around their lovely farm. Our daughter was absolutely thrilled by the experience—seeing the animals and hearing about farm life was something she'll never forget!

The location was wonderfully peaceful and quiet. We've left feeling refreshed and recharged. We would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a family-friendly, relaxing base to explore a gorgeous part of Wales!

Caroline Chandler,

We have recently stayed for two nights in West Llwyn and cannot recommend the accommodation enough, Pam and Nick are such warm and unobtrusive hosts, it made our stay so much more enjoyable and we loved meeting the girls.
When we arrived Pam referenced that the cottages were known for their magical effect and I have to be honest just two nights in gorgeous accommodation with excellent facilities really did work its magic on us.

As soon as we are able to I look forward to booking another break. Thank you both x

We have just got back from a 3 night stay at Pamela’s beautiful cottage. The cottage was clean, cozy & comfortable, and Pam was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Everything we could have needed was available to us in the cottage & a lovely welcome pack awaited our arrival after a long journey it was greatly appreciated. Our children loved waking up every morning to views of the animals outside the window! The property was in a good location, with short drive away to plenty of beaches, towns and forests. We throughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the future x

I have stayed in both cottages, and both are comfortable, clean and have everything you need. The welcome from Pam and Nick is very warm and you can really feel the care they put into it. The view from the garden across the fields is lovely, and it's so peaceful. The local area is beautiful, glorious countryside and the coast within easy reach as well as the local towns. All in all a fantastic place to stay with brilliant hosts.

West Llwyn Holiday Cottage

This is the second time we've holiday'd at Llwyn Holiday Cottages, this time staying in West instead of East Llwyn. Both cottages are gorgeous and comfortable, although we particularly loved the beds in West Llwyn, as well as the views from the master bedroom's side window. It truly is like home from home here - and just SO peaceful and idyllic. Our favourite beach to visit was Mwnt: it's absolutely stunning, with a beautiful coastal cliff walk.

Pam and Nick do their utmost to make sure their guests feel comfortable, welcomed and at home, without being at all intrusive. They make themselves available to assist you and give you help if you need it, while giving you space to enjoy your stay. They're particularly respectful and understanding with our daughter (8), as well as allowing her - and us - to assist with feeding the bottle-fed lambs on the days that she wanted to.

We'd give this wonderful place 10 out of 5 if we could. Thank you Pam, Nick, and all the animals so much! X

Just returned home from a lovely weekend at East Llwyn cottage. Very homely, everything you could want, home from home feel. Lovely hosts, quiet location & my son even got to feed the lambs. Highly recommend & will definitely be returning. Thank you Pam

This was our first visit to the cottage, but hopefully won’t be our last. The cottage was immaculately clean, warm and cosy. The fresh flowers and tasty treats, including eggs from Pam and Nick’s hens added to our welcome. Pam greeted us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable, getting up in the morning was a challenge! Once up and about however there was lots to explore locally and the beautiful coastline is only about half an hour away. Visiting in spring meant we had the pleasure of seeing Pam and Nick’s new baby lambs and other animals. With great communication from start to finish, and such lovely hosts we can thoroughly recommend staying here.

This was our second visit to East Llwyn and it didn't disapoint. Pam communicated with us before our arrival and greeted us with a warm welcome. The cottage was clean and tidy and although we were visiting family the cottage was a warm, cosy base for us to return to. We would definitely recommend and would have no hesitation in returning again. We were lucky with the weather but the cottage is perfectly placed to explore the area. Thank you Pam for a lovely weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay here. Such a lovely cottage with bags of character set in a beautiful part of West Wales. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Even some local treats and fresh eggs from their chickens were left in the kitchen which was a lovely touch.
What made it particularly special was how welcoming and lovely Pam was. So helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. Great communication before and during our stay. I felt she really cared about making our stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. She also gave me and my boys (aged 11 and 6) a tour of their small holding. The boys loved meeting the pigs and the 4 week old calves were also a big hit. We would love to return to West Llwyn Cottage and would definitely recommend it.

Spent two nights at this wonderful cottage, the hosts, Pam and Nick gave us a warm and friendly welcome. We would recommend anyone to come and visit Llywn cottages it's certainly a 5 star location and we are returning asap. Big thanks Pam and Nick.

Fantastic stay here. So relaxed and quiet. Beautiful location. Pam & Nick were the best hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them, chatted leisurely with them but never intrusive. The welcome pack with fresh eggs from their chickens was a lovely touch.
The accommodation was great and absolutely spotless, the cleanest cottage that we’ve stayed in. The cottage had everything you could need and more. Thanks Pam for the ice!
Our Bracco Italiano girls loved the enclosed fields.
Cannot wait to book to come back again.
Thanks again Pam & Nick - sorry for the late post.

East Llwyn Holiday Cottage

We so enjoyed staying at East Llwyn. It is beautiful, comfortable, quiet and very well equipped. Pam is so welcoming, helpful and thoughtful and left all we needed after our journey there. It is about 30 minutes drive from the outstandingly beautiful coastline. We want to go back to this cosy place! Thanks Pam!

Nathalie,

Coming to Llywn cottages was the first family holiday since having our baby 3 months ago and it was perfect.
Pam and Nick have provided everything you could possibly need for a stay away from home. Even down to a decent masher! We especially appreciated the dishwasher which we don't have at home. Just added a holiday feel not having to do the pots too. 😉 Llywn cottage is very well decorated, equiped and has a beautiful garden area and room for the doggy. Pam and Nick are very welcoming and always happy to help with even the small things.
Thank you for facilitating such a lovely stay. ☺️

Mollie ,

Excellent stay at Llwyn Cottage. From start to finish, Pam was very welcoming and accommodating. I had dates booked for a few months, however a family bereavement meant a late change of plan, this was not an issue and everything was resolved in an efficient and friendly manner. As we were a late arrival from an evening flight and long drive, Pam offered food etc to be kept for us until we arrived which was very kind. The cottage was very suitable for our needs (2 adults, 2 young children) and was spotlessly clean, which for us is such a nice feeling after a long journey and late arrival. We will be staying here again, and for myself who grew up in the area, to see that Pam and Nick are learning Welsh is a great testament to their commitment for their business and being part of the community. Diolch yn fawr!

Dylan Williams,

We recently booked a last minute weeks stay and couldn't have been happier.
Great location to explore all the area has to offer from breath taking scenery along the coastal paths, to clean and accessible sandy beaches, which our 2 dogs loved. Inland there are numerous other things to explore.
Pam and Nick have kindly put together a file inside the cottage detailing nearby attractions.
We chose a dolphin spotting boat trip which was dog friendly and we loved it.
The cottage itself is luxurious with everything you need to relax and chill .
The surroundings are beautiful and we were allowed to walk and explore the nearby fields and say hello to the farm animals and beautiful 3 flat coated retrievers.
We were lucky to be blessed with gorgeous sunshine so we couldn't have wanted for more.
Could only recommend 😎

Debbie Dennison ,

Had a wonderful stay here with my daughter while visiting from the USA. The cottage was perfect for us. We spent many glorious afternoons in the warm conservatory with my 92 yo mother, looking at old photos and reminiscing. Pam and Nick were fabulous and attentive hosts. They provided much needed libations on arrival and a cornucopia of treats for us to share during our stay. The home was as advertised, spotlessly clean, comfortable and relaxing. We ate out a few times in places recommended in the welcome folder but ordered a Tesco home delivery and mainly cooked in the well stocked kitchen. I have no hesitation to recommend the place to anyone looking for a comfortable base from which to explore the area. Thanks Pam and Nick!! ( and menagerie!!)

Helen,

NONE OF US WANTED TO LEAVE (our dopey labrador included!)!! Which says it all. Llwyn Holiday Cottages is true home-from-home: warm, cosy-yet-spacious, comfortable and peaceful. Pam and Nick are amazing hosts: so very efficient, welcoming, friendly, warm and accommodating. Brilliant communication from the moment we booked. The drinks, snacks, milk, and eggs from their chickens left for us on our arrival was a real kind and thoughtful bonus. The cottage is VERY well-equipped, very clean, and has everything that you need.

The cottage is in an absolutely beautiful location, and is very quiet. You do need to be prepared to drive to places, but nowhere is more than twenty minutes by car, and the journeys are very scenic! (Although there is a pub less than ten minutes by car.)

We were able to bottle feed Trevor and Caroline the lambs during our stay, which was a particularly big hit with our seven year old. We all massively enjoyed the sheep, pigs, cows, plus their three gorgeous dogs.

Thank you SO much! We do hope to be able to visit again. Xx

Em and Dan Dreese ,

I spent a fabulous 10 nights from 25 November 2022 in this beautiful cottage in an idyllic part of Wales. The cottage is immaculate and the hosts are charming, and attentive if needed. It is a short distance by car to beautiful beaches and quaint towns with plenty of walks and amazing scenery all around. I was able to have quiet time reading and writing in the sunny conservatory - lucky with the weather so late in the year.
The gardens are full of interesting plants and Pam and Nick have cows, pigs, sheep and hens on their small holding, along with their own dogs and a cat in their own cottage nearby.
The cottage is well-equipped and immaculate. I will certainly be returning in 2023.

Sue Kerry,

Just spent an amazing week at the cottage.. it has everything you want and more... The cottage is well equipped... The views are spectacular.. it felt like a home from home .. Pam and Nick are great host's nothing was too much trouble... Can't wait to go back... Anne, John and snowy x

Anne and John ,

We recently had a 5 night stay here for our wedding anniversary at this lovely cottage.
Cannot fault the cleanliness - absolutely immaculate. You could genuinely have eaten off the floors! Decor was lovely too. Hosts very thoughtful and attentive.
Surrounding areas were lovely, we enjoyed visiting new quay, but our favourite town to visit was probably Aberporth. Much easier for parking and wandering round. Great selection of shops and the honey ice cream was nice too. Beach wise we thoroughly enjoyed Cai Bach beach! Great for a dog to paddle in the sea. Recommended by Pam.

The cottage garden was gorgeous, and the dog throughly enjoyed himself, very peaceful and calming. Pam and Nick were also kind enough to let us take him for a free run in one of their empty fields which was great.

The only thing I would point out from a dog owners perspective is that the garden is not dog secure, (no problem for us as our dog is fully trained and we were also made aware of this by Pam before we booked) but also the garden/driveway is shared with the hosts lovely dogs at certain times, which might not be suitable for dogs that are reactive and/or nervous around other dogs.

Overall, a really really lovely holiday and we absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other people! If we visit this neck of the woods again we will be sure to come back.
Thanks Pam and Nick for your great hospitality

Katie Durkin,

Lovely to be back with Pam & Nick once again.... lovely location, great cottage and the pigs, chickens and cattle are great hosts too 🤣🍻😎

Ken Eales,

Pamela and Nick couldn't have been nicer. They were welcoming and warm and as a group of mixed generations my parents, myself and little 3 year old George we all found them to be so engaging and caring.
We were given a lovely welcome pack including thoughtful buttons for our little person and directed to good places to eat and visit.
The accommodation was well thought out and the decor was to our style.
We adored the surrounding area and grounds. It is all so picturesque and the animals close by made the trip for our toddler.
Thank you both so much and we look forward to our next visit. :)

Louise ,

Just returned from a lovely 5 days at Llwyn Cottages. Beautiful 2 bedroom cottage , immaculately clean with a well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge and conservatory. The large garden has outside seating, unusual plants and beautiful views.
We visited New Quay, Cenarth Falls, Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan with its castle and independent shops.
Pam and Nick were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They were happy to advise on places to visit and nearby pubs and restaurants.
The cottage was the perfect place for a relaxing break and we shall certainly be returning.

Chris & Chris Keith,

We stayed in July 2021 and had a fantastic time. Very comfortable secluded yet accessible accommodation with a lovely garden. We hope to return again soon.

Dave & Jo Wright,

Pam and Nick have a fabulous cottage, and a real home from home.
There is a lovely conservatory as you enter through the property, with a couple of easy chairs and a sofa.
As you enter the main cottage, there is to your left a lovely modern kitchen, with all modern appliances.
Gas Hob, electric oven, fridge with small freezer section, washing machine and lots of storage with a great selection of utensils, crockery and cutlery.
In the area between the kitchen and lounge is a small convertible dining table with chairs.
Off to the right is a lovely lounge that comprises of two very comfortable sofas, a lovely log burner fire and a smart TV.
On the first floor is a lovely shower room, two bedrooms, one double and a twin. The beds are very comfortable and have lovely bedding.
The Gardens are on different levels and are accessible on a number of paths and are well kept.
From the area outside the cottage, you can walk up to a picnic bench that overlooks the lovely valley below.
Pam and Nick live on site and are available for anything you could want.
That also have three beautiful and well behaved, friendly flat coated retrievers. Tinks, Tully and Mrs Miggs, who are partial to a treat or two should you offer.
The area is very quiet, and a perfect place to kick back and relax.
If your lucky, you may even catch a Red Kite flying over head, we did!
All in all, Pam and Nicks is a really lovely country retreat, and we will return as soon as we can. (September 2021)

Andy Abraham,

We stayed in June 2021 as one of the first guests to use the accommodation.
Hosts were very attentive when needed, and inconspicuous when not required.
The location is peaceful, allowing for a recharge away from daily life.
I would recommend staying here as our visit will be repeated. A very high standard offering.

Chris Rees,

We had a lovely mid-week break at East Llwyn. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and our dog. It was crisp and clean throughout and we particularly enjoyed the conservatory which seemed to get the sun all day. The quiet location made for a good night’s sleep. The garden was lovely with lots of interesting plants to spot, as well as outdoor seating areas to enjoy. Pam was a very warm host, happy to chat but not intrusive. The WiFi is super speedy and we had no trouble streaming Prime on the smart TV. All in all, a very enjoyable break. We would happily return to this accommodation if we were in the area again. (September 2021)

Margaret Gregory,

This was cosy, sparkling, just about everything thought of by kind and friendly hosts.
The garden and surroundings are beautiful and quiet. It is very handy for visiting the coast and other places of interest.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. (October 2021)

Eleanor O`Brien,

We felt very lucky to have been Pam’s first guests. Pam was a great host, extremely helpful and receptive to anything and everything we asked her. We travelled with our two young children and the house was perfect for us as a base to explore South West Wales.

The cottage was well equipped, comfortable, with beautiful gardens and fantastic views. Our children also loved seeing Pam’s 3 gorgeous dogs and the chickens, as well as the sheep in the field next door and an occasional wild rabbit.

From the cottage, we explored New Quay (less than a 30 minute drive) multiple times to see the dolphins, the beach and the beautiful town, Tenby (hour drive), Folly Farm (hour drive), Aberystwyth stream railway (less than an hour)
Visit June 2021

We will definitely be recommending the cottages to friends and family and we also hope to return next year.

Katie and James,

Thank you for a lovely summer stay. The property was stunningly clean, the garden lovely and the hosts friendly and very helpful. It was great for our two kids, with an easy drive to lots of beaches and coastal walks. We loved Aberaeron for eating out and popping in little shops. Thank you! (August 2021)

A Whitfield-Seed ,

Myself and my partner had such a lovely break here at Llwyn cottages. The cottage and surroundings were stunning and homely. Pam and Nick were both extremely helpful and welcoming. If your wanting a peaceful getaway or a family holiday then you will not be disappointed choosing Llwyn Cottages. Looking forward to returning soon! (October 2021)
